About Ms. Sanford
Who I am:
I am a proud Bay Area native and 6th generation Californian on my mother's side of the family. I spent my early childhood in the East Bay and moved to Marin while I was in elementary school. I attended Marin County public schools, went to Marin Academy for high school, and received a BA in Psychology from Mills College in 2011. I am currently a student at Dominican University in San Rafael, where I am working towards a multiple-subject teaching credential as well as a Masters in Education. In my program I have particularly enjoyed learning about special education concerns and adaptations. I am excited to work in a classroom with diverse learners and will enjoy adapting Common Core curriculum to fit the needs of the students I teach. When I'm not in school I enjoy practicing yoga, playing with my dog, hiking, and doing arts-and-crafts. I also keep bees in my backyard! I love to travel and learning about other cultures fascinates me. I speak English and Spanish, and I'd love to learn more! |
